3. Data Retention & Deletion for B2B Users

3.1 User Account Creation

  • Corporate clients using Smart24x7 services create and manage user accounts for their employees.
  • A user account is created when an employee avails transport services through Smart24x7.

3.2 Account Deletion by Corporate Clients

  • When an employee’s association with the corporate client ends, the corporate may delete the employee’s Smart24x7 account.
  • Upon deletion, the account enters a data retention period of 90 days.

3.3 Data Retention & Purging

  • During the 90-day retention period, the user’s data remains archived in a secured database.
  • This data is retained to address any compliance, audit, or legal requirements that may arise.
  • After 90 days, all associated user information, including personal details, trip history, and logs, are permanently purged from the Smart24x7 database.
  • Once deleted, the data cannot be recovered.

4. Data Retention & Deletion for B2C Users

4.1 User Account Creation

  • B2C users create accounts by logging in via third-party authentication methods (OAuth via social media platforms, email, or phone verification).
  • The account remains active until voluntarily deactivated by the user.

4.2 User-Initiated Account Deletion

  • Users can request account deletion from the Smart24x7 mobile app or website.
  • Once an account deletion request is received, Smart24x7 initiates the data purging process immediately.

4.3 Immediate Data Removal

  • Upon user request, all personally identifiable information (PII), trip records, and associated data are erased from the Smart24x7 database.
  • This process is irreversible, and no backup copies of the user’s data are retained post-deletion.

5. Exceptional Circumstances for Data Retention

In certain situations, Smart24x7 may be required to retain user data beyond the standard deletion timeline due to:

  • Legal compliance (government, regulatory, or law enforcement requirements).
  • Ongoing investigations related to fraud, security threats, or contractual disputes.
  • Financial transactions where billing and payment records must be retained per applicable financial regulations.

In such cases, the retained data is secured and access-restricted to authorized personnel only. Once the obligation is fulfilled, the data is deleted permanently.

  • Employees should contact their corporate HR/IT department to request account deletion.
  • Corporates can submit deletion requests through the Smart24x7 Corporate Admin Panel.

For B2C Users:

  • Users can navigate to Account Settings > Delete Account within the Smart24x7 mobile app or website.
  • Alternatively, users may send a deletion request via email to support@smart24x7.com with account verification details.

8. Changes to This Policy

Smart24x7 reserves the right to update this Data Deletion Policy periodically. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or in-app notifications. Continued use of Smart24x7 services post-update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
